The multi-disciplinary team at UCLA are pioneering radio-guided robotic surgery for prostate cancer in America, combining SENSEI® and the prostate-cancer-targeted imaging agent, Tc99m-PSMA, to intra-operatively find and remove cancer spread in pelvic lymph nodes. Incredibly, in the first case, the team successfully found and removed a tiny (>3mm) metastatic node identified on diagnostic imaging.
